Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as keeping you signed in or holding your progress through the submission form. We also use similar technologies like local storage, and this policy covers those too.
2. The cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories. Only the essential ones are set automatically.
| Category | Purpose | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Session, security, sign-in | Keeps you signed in, remembers your submission progress, and protects forms against abuse. The site cannot work without these. | Session to 12 months |
| Functional | Preferences | Remembers choices such as your preferred payment method and whether you dismissed a banner. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Usage measurement | Tells us which pages people use and where they get stuck, in aggregate. Never used to identify you personally. | Up to 24 months |
| Advertising | Campaign measurement | Set by advertising partners to measure whether an ad led to a submission. You can opt out of these. | Up to 13 months |
3. Cookies set by others
Some cookies are set by service providers acting for us: analytics platforms that measure site usage, advertising platforms that measure campaign performance, and our SMS and payment providers where their tools appear on our pages. These providers may combine what they see here with data they hold from elsewhere, under their own policies.
4. How to control cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential categories using the cookie banner, and change your mind at any time from the same control. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site working, including sign-in and the submission form.
5. Do Not Track and global signals
We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of advertising and sale or sharing of personal information where that right applies to you.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. Material changes are posted here with a new date at the top, and where required we will ask for your consent again.
7. Questions
For anything about cookies or tracking, contact [email protected] or write to CashMyStuff, 900 S Heald Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801.
